People(s)-Centered Popular Education

Assata Shakur Study Group (ASSG)

Pan-African Community Action’s (PACA) Assata Shakur Study Group (ASSG) is our flagship program for developing that foundation through collective political education and principled struggle.

Held every 2nd and 4th Wednesday from 7–9 PM at the Black Workers & Wellness Center in Southeast DC, the Study Group uses readings, videos, and discussion to deepen our understanding of the systems we fight—Capitalism, White Supremacy, and Patriarchy—and to strengthen our commitment to building power for African people.ASSG centers the leadership and experiences of Working-Class Black People and invites all participants to practice Step Up–Step Back, creating space for reflection, participation, and transformation. If this analysis resonates with you, join us in study, struggle, and the work of liberation.
